ACCOUNTABILITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: The Behaviour Change Officer will report to the Chief of Nutrition and coordinate across relevant units/teams at CO/RBx level. The Behaviour Change Officer will be expected to lead the following: Establish new processes and guidelines for the use of behaviour change approaches: Collaborate with WFP units and teams to integrate behaviour change as an essential part of all response packages. Initiate and lead coordination of inter-unit/team behaviour change across CO/RBx. Support innovation for behaviour change working with HQ/RBx/CO. Lead the development of SBCC strategy and related interventions: Support the development of overarching SBCC strategy and implementation plan. Conduct desk reviews, formative research, and assessments towards the development of SBC interventions. Engage with Government and other relevant agencies to collaborate on SBC interventions. Identification and recruitment of third parties: Develop the ToR for recruitment of agencies for various SBCC activities. Act as liaison between third parties and CO/RB. Supervise the agency/ies to conduct required assessments and research. Oversee the development of an M & E framework for SBC interventions: Lead the process to develop an integrated monitoring and evaluation log frame. Coordinate data collection with WFP programme and M&E units. Contribute to the global evidence base for Behaviour Change: Identify and fill global evidence gaps for the use of behaviour change. Support the design and documentation of high-quality evidence from behaviour change programming. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education: Advanced degree in social or behavioural science, public health, marketing, or other relevant fields. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in strategic guidance and implementing behaviour change interventions. Experience in conducting formative research using mixed methods. Knowledge and Skills: Advanced knowledge of behaviour change programming in public health and nutrition. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Language: Advanced professional level of written and spoken English. Working knowledge of a second UN language is an asset.
