Job Description
Service Sales Engineer North West Italy (m/f/d) You will report into the Service Sales Manager and be responsible for the Service sales activities for the assigned region within Leybold Italy. Maximise proactively the sales and profitability of the service and parts business across the territory by promoting VTS products (Service Plan, Exchange, Fixed Prices service and connectivity) to new and existing customers, in accordance with agreed priorities and business plans whilst working closely with the rest of the sales team to maximise opportunities and climb the service ladder. Responsibilities: By efficiently using the company's tools such as Sales Excellence and C4C to forward plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business targets, managing personal time and productivity. Collaborate with the operations team to provide good after sales service to customers and achieve customer satisfaction. Analyze and provide timely, accurate market information to management, such as pricing situations, status of competitive activities and "red flag" issues related to business in the region. Undertake proposals of assigned service products, including the calculation of sales prices by applying the discounts strategy in place and using the appropriate quoting tool. Develop and maintain good customer relationships at all levels within the area and ensure an excellent standard of the service is provided. Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information by updating the CRM with customer visit reports, opportunities and quotation status info. Cooperate with Finance department to improve the performance of receivables & overdue. Liaise with colleagues from other Divisions to co-ordinate activities where appropriate to maximize customer relationship and business outcome wherever possible. Attend sales meetings and ensure that all subsequent action required is undertaken. Undertake ad-hoc project work related to VTS, including new products and Marketing Campaigns. Provide Customer information/feedback on a regular basis. To succeed, you will need: Degree Level – University degree in a technical discipline/sales or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years working experience in an industrial environment. Knowledge Areas: Understanding of what value-based selling intends for Service business. Sound technical understanding and ability to quickly adopt to new products/technical developments. Experience in vacuum technology is a plus, but not a must. Working in an industrial environment, ideally with field service engineer background. Good sales techniques and skills. Critical Skills: Show high commitment to customer. Eagerness to hunt for results. Proactive mindset and openness. Close interaction with VTS Sales Manager and other sales engineers. Build up relationships and network with internal and external stakeholders. Communicate with influence. Other requirements: Resident in Northwest Italy (preferably Turin area). Excellent verbal and written Italian and B2 English minimum willing to improve. Confident in interaction with end customers. Achieve targets and goals as defined (Sales Incentive Plan).
