In order to strengthen our R&D Department we are looking to hire an Engine Mechanical Testing Specialist Engineer based in Maranello (Italy). You will work in the Powertrain Testing Development Group reporting to the Engine Mechanical Testing manager. You will manage the assembly and experimentation activities on the engines in development up to the project approval phase, manage the functional and reliability validation of engines and related analysis after the tests. You will also be responsible for first and second level issues diagnosis coming from the bench and the car tests. In this position, you will be responsible for: Take part in the weekly project progress meeting Take part in assembly planning of engine with Powertrain assembly workshop/suppliers for development and reliability tests Take part in assembly planning of engine for mechanization of cars with Powertrain assembly workshop/supplier Define the cell setup sharing all the information related to the necessary instrumentation, the channels to be acquired, the alarms and the test cycle to Facility Team/external cells Support, related to his competence, during EOL of the engines for mechanization of cars Data Analysis related to the development tests necessary for functionality and reliability of the engines and their subsystems (lubrication, cooling, turbocharger, exhaust system, sensors, driveline…) Assist in workshop activities on car, related to his competence Data Analysis related to the development tests necessary for functionality and reliability of the engines on car Involved in engine disassembly planning with Powertrain assembly workshop/suppliers after development and reliability tests and compiles reports of the activities Report promptly any issue found during the tests or the analysis on the System Involved in first and second level issues diagnosis coming from bench and car tests Organize the shipment of the parts in agreement with RSC/RPA/LPS and inform the suppliers about the carried out missions Compiles reports of the activities Contributes with the official reports (Reliability and functionality) that are necessary to draw up the Technical approval document which is the responsibility of the RSC. In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and at least 3 years’ dedicated experience with an operational role in the development of engines. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Inca/AVL concerto is mandatory to manage the role. In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment; strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role. It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the maintenance processes and activities. Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage.
