Job Description
Job Title: ERP Systems Analyst - Financial Modules Location: Vancouver, BC (Remote with Limited travel) Employment Type: Contract/Full-time, Onsite (5 days a week) About the Role: Samay Consulting is seeking an experienced ERP Systems Analyst specializing in financial modules to join our team. You will be deputed to work with one of our clients, a leading retailer based in Vancouver. This is an onsite role requiring you to be in the office all 5 days of the week. A Day in the Life: As an ERP Systems Analyst, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to develop business, functional, and technical requirements, supporting both internal business needs and enhancing guest experiences. Your key responsibilities will include: - Gathering and documenting business and functional requirements and translating them into technical specifications for ERP system enhancements. - Troubleshooting and identifying root causes of production issues and documenting technical solutions. - Translating business strategies into actionable roadmaps for team consumption and implementation. - Prioritizing requirements based on business and technical needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. - Assessing configuration options to meet business requirements and system specifications. - Collaborating with business stakeholders to align on overall scope and sequencing recommendations, considering dependency management and architectural decisions. - Utilizing tools such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), JIRA, Confluence, and Business Process Documentation to facilitate alignment sessions. - Engaging with engineers to design and configure effective solutions. - Building strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure alignment and successful project execution. Qualifications: - A post-secondary degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field; an accounting designation is preferred. - 7 years of hands-on global experience with Tier 1 Financial ERP systems, with a strong preference for Oracle EBS R12.2 Financials. - Experience providing requirements for medium to large initiatives involving cross-functional teams. - Proven experience as a functional lead on at least 2 full life-cycle financial project implementations, including post-go-live support. - Strong quality assurance experience with the ability to provide guidance and oversight during the testing phase. - Excellent documentation skills, with proficiency in JIRA and Confluence. - Experience with all aspects of project management, development, and change management cycles. - Strong skills in both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies. - Proven facilitation and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. - Demonstrated ability to make trade-offs between business needs and technology constraints while keeping the end-user experience in mind.
