Senior Buyer

Key Responsibilities: Responsible for creating strategies and procurement of business for the benefit of the business Develop relationships with new vendors and maintain existing relationships Negotiate with the vendors during the procurement process Be a key member of the vendor relationship management and ensure that performance is up to par Use business acumen to solve problems and figure out ways to accomplish procurement duties Preparing documents including RFX documents and utilizing the online bidding platform during procurement process Liaison with internal and external stakeholders during the procurement process Successful candidates must have: Minimum of 8 years of experience working as a Buyer Experience working in public procurement with government, municipalities, government agencies, school districts, university/colleges or similar companies is required Previous experience working as a buyer or procurement specialist in a fast pace and complex environment Extremely detail oriented with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines Strong business and financial expertise Ability to read and write in English Ability to work independently and strong acumen with technology A designation in Supply Chain Management (SCMP) is preferred Communication and leadership skills are an asset when working with teams and on different projects Develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Compensation Competitive compensation from $85,000 to $114,000/year Compensation could be slightly lower or higher based on experience Benefits after probation
