Job Description
We are Systematix and we are looking for a dynamic Change Management and Reporting & Data Services Project Manager with experience with Azure DevOps to fill a 1-year contract position with one of our key manufacturing clientele in Hamilton. This role is 100% on-site, in Hamilton ABOUT THE PROJECT Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Change Management and Reporting & Data Services Project Manager to lead and oversee the integration and deployment of complex systems for the organization on a 12-month contract which could extend. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, resources, and risks, and ensure successful implementation of systems to meet objectives. The project involves a business system migration where mainframe applications are being replaced with a modern off-the-shelf suite. The ideal candidate should have experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically with sales order management and fulfillment, shipping, and data migration/integration project experience. A candidate with 13 to 18 years of experience in the IT industry and 10 to 12 years of experience in Project Management for system replacement, system integrations, data migrations, and report development type projects would be ideal. The candidate must be able to work 5 days onsite. ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES · Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements, and translate them into actionable project plans. · Develop detailed project plans and schedules and monitor their execution throughout the project lifecycle. · Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless data migration using various systems, applications, and technologies. · Manage project resources, including team members, contractors, and third-party vendors, and allocate tasks and responsibilities effectively. · Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks to ensure project success. · Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders. · Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals and timelines. · Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in data migration and testing processes. · Lead change management efforts, including user training, documentation, and post-deployment support to ensure smooth adoption of new systems. · Drive continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing lessons learned in future projects. ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS Job Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. · Proven experience as a Project Manager in change management, reporting, and data projects, preferably in a technology-driven environment. · Strong understanding of system architecture, software development lifecycle, and integration methodologies. · PMP is desirable; experience with MS Project is mandatory. · Strong knowledge of and hands-on use with Azure DevOps (Data Lake/Synapse) · Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. · Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and deliver results within tight deadlines. · Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding solutions in complex and dynamic environments. · Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus. · Valid drivers’ license. Job Skills · Lead and manage projects related to change management, data analysis, and reporting services. Proficiency in the technologies and systems relevant to the data migration process. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Aptitude for identifying and resolving technical challenges and bottlenecks during data migration. Skill in managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration to ensure project success. Experience in coordinating with external vendors and partners involved in the integration process. Capacity to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure project milestones are met. Ability to guide stakeholders through changes. Understanding of quality control procedures to ensure the final deployed systems meet requirements. Strong communication, time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Job Knowledge Understanding of system architecture principles and how different components interact. Knowledge of deployment strategies like continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps. Proficiency with technology and Microsoft-based software packages. Experience with implementation of manufacturing execution applications, would be beneficial. Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) phases, especially testing and deployment Familiarity with industry-specific compliance standards and regulations. Skill in creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation. Your work environment Normal, fast-paced office environment for a high impact team. Onsite 100% at Hamilton or Nanticoke plant facility. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a one-year contract position with the possibility of extending based on performance. Candidates must be able to work minimum 4-days a week onsite at client's Hamilton location. The work week is 40 hours, from 8:00 to 4:15 PM daily. The candidate must be able to work 5-days onsite.
