Operations Supervisor

Our leading real estate client is seeking a dynamic and energetic Operations Supervisor to join their team in Ottawa. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in facilities management who is skilled at overseeing property operations and maintenance. Responsibilities: Monitor building operations, performing regular equipment and area inspections. Supervise and direct contracted service providers to ensure tasks meet contract standards. Ensure best practices in maintaining curtain walls, structural components, and roofing. Oversee preventative maintenance programs for building systems to extend equipment lifespan. Obtain quotes and recommend repairs, managing maintenance within budget and capital spending. Conduct regular inspections of all property operations to ensure optimal conditions. Maintain positive relationships with tenants, contractors, and suppliers. Coordinate tenant and landlord work to comply with building codes and specifications. Respond to 24-hour emergencies and escalate as needed. Participate in health and safety programs. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Over 5 years of experience in building operations, ideally within retail environments. Proficient in managing mechanical and electrical building systems. Familiar with building systems and preventative maintenance practices. Skilled in using hand tools and performing basic plumbing and electrical repairs. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
