Job Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team and drive the development and maintenance of automated test cases. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated test cases using Microsoft Playwright and other tools. This includes developing and executing test plans, identifying, and debugging issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles, a passion for solving complex problems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience working with advanced Microsoft Playwright techniques, as well as expertise in API automation leveraging JEST to support integration, functional, and end-to-end testing and a strong familiarity with Typescript and/or JavaScript. Responsibilities and Duties : - Design, build, and maintain automated test cases using Microsoft Playwright, JEST and other tools - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality of our software products. - Identify and debug issues through the use of automated testing tools. - Participate in requirements gathering, technical specification, design, and development of software for customer-facing applications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into test cases and test automation scripts. - Maintain and enhance existing test scripts. - Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices. - Promote software engineering best practices Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field - 5 years of experience in software automation testing - Advanced experience with Microsoft Playwright and Jest. - Strong understanding of software testing principles - Strong familiarity with Typescript - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Self-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to write clean maintainable code - Experience working with geographically dispersed software development teams - Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Ability to proactively plan, organize, and deliver with limited oversight, prioritize, and quickly adapt to changing situations (ref:hirist.tech)
