Advent Global Solution - Data Scientist - Dijkstra Algorithm

Job Overview : We are seeking a talented and driven Data Scientist to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, with specific expertise in graph theory and algorithms, particularly Dijkstra's Algorithm. In this role, you will be responsible for applying advanced computational techniques to solve real-world problems, optimize complex systems, and drive data-driven decision-making for the organization. You will work closely with product teams, data engineers, and business stakeholders to build scalable solutions that leverage graph-based algorithms for optimization, route planning, network analysis, and more. This role requires proficiency in mathematical modeling, programming, and a deep understanding of algorithms to efficiently process large datasets and deliver actionable insights. Key Responsibilities : Algorithm Development & Optimization : - Design, implement, and optimize algorithms based on Dijkstra's algorithm and related graph-based approaches to solve problems like shortest path calculations, routing optimization, and network flow analysis. - Leverage graph theory to improve systems for logistics, transportation networks, recommendation engines, or any other domain requiring optimization of complex relationships. Data Analysis : - Analyze large, unstructured, and structured datasets to extract actionable insights, identify patterns, and make data-driven recommendations. - Develop models to solve optimization problems (e.g., shortest path, minimum spanning tree) and apply these models to various business contexts. Collaboration & Communication : - Work closely with data engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver impactful results. - Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences. Performance Tuning : - Identify bottlenecks in existing systems or algorithms and implement solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and efficiency. - Experiment with different algorithmic approaches and techniques to enhance the accuracy, speed, and reliability of solutions. Research & Development : - Stay up to date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and graph algorithms to continually improve techniques and approaches. - Explore and prototype new graph-based models, hybrid algorithms, or alternative methods for optimization. Qualifications : Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. PhD is a plus.' Experience : - Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role. - Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Dijkstra's algorithm, graph theory, and other related algorithms. - Proficiency in data structures and algorithms, with a focus on graph-based models. - Experience with optimization problems and their applications in real-world scenarios (e.g., route planning, network analysis). - Should have worked on complex Data Science projects - They should have used Dijkstra's Algorithm in their project and have a good understanding of the algorithm - The resources should have worked on complex Data Science projects. - They should have used Dijkstra's Algorithm in their project and have a good understanding of the algorithm. - The senior resource should also be capable to suggest alternate Shortest path algorithm based on the project need and help to implement it. - The team should be able to work from Rome for 6 months initially and then work from Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad (ref:hirist.tech)
