Meritto - Android Developer - Java/Kotlin

Job Description : We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential. Roles & Responsibilities : - Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features. - Work with outside data sources and API. - Work on bug fixing and improving application performances. - Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Desired Candidate Profile : 1. Extensive knowledge of Android development SDK and Kotlin is essential, and experience with Jetpack Compose (Kotlin Multi Platform Mobile is a plus) is highly desirable. 2. Proficiency in Android UI design principles, coroutines, clean architecture, MVVM, MVP patterns, and best practices. 3. Proficiency in working with JSON, XML, and Web Services API for seamless data integration. 4. A strong understanding of algorithms, design patterns, memory management, and multithreaded programming is necessary for efficient application development. 5. Familiarity with SAAS platforms for mobile development, including Analytics, Push Notifications, Cloud Storage, Firebase. 6. Proficiency in using Android's debugging tools, memory and performance optimization tools is required. 7. Experience working with databases, including SQL, Room, Sugar, or similar technologies. 8. Ability to communicate effectively, document ideas, and articulate the rationale behind technical decisions is important for successful collaboration within the team. 9. Experience in writing unit-test cases, working with Fragments, Custom view components, and familiarity with Java, RX Java, Android APIs, NDK, and various design patterns. (ref:hirist.tech)
