Design Engineer - Estimator

Mane are looking for an experienced Design Engineer/Estimator to joint their client, an MEP contractor helping assist on a number of projects across the UK.

Reports to: Regional Director

Deputy: Assistant Estimator

Qualifications / Experience Required:

• City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or NVQ Level 3
• 3-4 years of experience in electrical estimating
• Experience in temporary services is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Design projects for submission at tender/pre-tender stages
• Communicate with clients on post-tender submissions
• Develop and maintain client relationships to grow the business

Main Tasks:

• Prepare tender and pre-tender documentation for client submissions
• Review client scope and design projects to meet specifications
• Attend post-tender meetings and negotiate necessary adjustments
• Negotiate and finalize contract awards
• Maintain regular communication with clients to build long-term relationships
• Support project handover to operations
• Propose improvements to systems to enhance the quality of service for clients
• Ensure personal compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Salary: £50-55k plus car
