Great opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Procurement professional to partner with Operational Leads on strategic Capital Works programmes.
Procurement Heads are thrilled to have partnered with a leading Housing organisation dedicated to delivering value for money and ensuring compliance with Public Contract Regulations. Managing £150 million in third part supplier arrangements annually, our client ensure competitive advantage and exceptional service for customers and taxpayers alike.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Procurement professional to partner with Operational Leads on planned and reactive Capital Works programme. Typically working on three large strategic projects at any given time, with values of between £3 and £10 million each, strong supplier management strategies are essential alongside accomplished negotiation and risk mitigation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop procurement strategies to achieve value for money and manage supplier risks
- Continuously improve procurement processes, tools, and templates
- Communicate the benefits and results of the procurement service
- Monitor and analyse supplier spend to identify savings opportunities
- Plan and manage contract lifecycle and renewal pipeline
- Collaborate with Category Leads and buyers to align with category strategy
- Set and track savings, spend under contract, and service level targets
- Prioritise and allocate resources to procurement requests
- Manage day-to-day activities and performance of the procurement team
- Resolve escalated issues and implement continuous improvements
- Provide coaching and development support to enhance team performance
- Build strong internal business partnerships across all functions
Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at multiple levels
- Ability to educate stakeholders on procurement processes and benefits
- Experience in managing procurement projects in a dynamic environment
- Experience in the Housing or Public Sector
- Experience of PCR, NEC, JCT, Estates & Construction
