BILINGUAL COMMERCIAL CREDIT ANALYST Project Finance Experience is a great asset. FLUENCY IN FRENCH IS A MUST Our client is seeking a Credit Analyst to join their team in Toronto. The company is expanding and provides services in structured/ infrastructure financing. The ideal candidate has come from a lending institution and knows about loan agreements, risks and consequences of defaulting on commercial loan agreements as it pertains to project financing. You are fluent in French and English and want the challenge of working for a boutique firm that specializes in large project financing. You understand the difference between secured and unsecured loans and what 'risk' issues are to be reviewed when reviewing the financial statements of potential and/or existing customers. You know what paperwork/forms for loans & portfolio administration are required and are meticulous about ensuring all files are kept up to date and organized. Specifically, in this role, the Credit Analyst will be responsible for administering a portfolio by identifying financial trends, risks, compliance with credit covenants, and preparing credit reviews with recommendations. He/she will also be monitoring projects under construction, analyzing cost reports, gathering all drawdown documentation, preparing lender summary reports with recommendations, and obtaining all necessary releases. You will also administer projects, negotiate and resolve issues within guidelines of the lender, prepare repayment schedules, ensure loan security, insurances and reserves are current. Requirements: Undergraduate degree in business, finance and/or accounting and/or MBA; 2-4 years’ experience in commercial / corporate banking or corporate finance; Must possess knowledge of construction financing and advanced MS Excel skills.
