POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Vice-President, IT, the Business Application Director's role is to plan, coordinate and supervise all activities related to the architecture, the design, development, and implementation of business information systems with a focus on SAP and Microsoft platforms. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining, supporting and upgrading existing systems. This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills and knowledge of best practices to guide his team. Responsibilities Collaborate with IT's leadership team to develop the IT Strategic/Master Plan. Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including SAP functional and technical specialists, Microsoft application developers, and business analysts. Plan the annual resources / budget to deliver the prioritized business solutions. Manage the IT Applications, Continuous Improvement and Master Data teams. Manage the deployment of SAP ERP & TM solutions to all plants, ensuring solutions adhere to best practices. Manage the development and deployment of new applications and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the organization. Ensure that development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues. Review and analyze existing applications’ effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for improving and leveraging those systems. Set standards, strategies and procedures across the development lifecycle in the areas of systems integration, testing and support. Ensure solutions adhere to architectural and quality standards throughout solution development cycle. Ensure solutions meet and exceed expectations of business requirements and capabilities. Act as the primary liaison between IT and business leaders, ensuring IT solutions support overall business objectives. Facilitate communication between business users and IT, gathering feedback and driving user adoption of systems. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of projects, initiatives, and system performance. Establish team’s service level objectives/metrics and manage performance to drive continuous improvement. Identify and manage resources necessary for all stages (planning, estimation, execution) of systems development projects and support. This includes coordination of efforts with 3rd party service providers to ensure that technical, financial and quality targets are met. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration or IT, or a combination of relevant education and professional experience MBA, an asset 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on SAP and Microsoft business applications. Proven track record of leading large-scale SAP implementations (S/4HANA or ECC) and optimizing Microsoft business solutions. Extensive experience with ERP systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications. Strong understanding of business processes in manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and sales Bilingual – Strong oral and written communication skills in both English & French. Combination of technical competence with business and commercial awareness and first-class communication skills. Sound knowledge of IT change management, configuration management, reliability and safety methods, the use of metrics and project risk management. Strong leadership skills. Analytical and meticulous. Ability to focus during tight deadlines. Skilled in planning, priority-management and organization.
