Position Title: Linux Admin Location: Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid, 3 days onsite) Duration: 12 months Visa Requirements: Canadian Citizen or PR holder (Canada background check required) Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Linux Admin to join our team on a 12-month contract in Ottawa, Canada. The ideal candidate will have strong system admin capabilities and extensive experience in scripting and DevOps. Responsibilities: Perform scripting tasks using shell, Python, and Ansible. Manage Linux/RedHat systems, including debugging issues and checking logs. Utilize DevOps tools like Jenkins, Nagios, Datadog, Splunk, GitHub, Tomcat, Kubernetes, and Docker. Work with AWS services including EKS, Route 53, EC2, S3, and VPC. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Triaging issues to find resolutions effectively. Maintain clear and effective communication with team members. Qualifications: Proficiency in scripting languages: shell, Python, Ansible. Strong system administration skills in Linux/RedHat. Experience with DevOps tools and practices. Knowledge of AWS services. Excellent communication skills.
