Job Description

Summary Per Sé Group is seeking a Safety Manager to work at a utility-scale wind farm project in Alberta, Canada for one of our premier renewable clients. An international leader in the renewable energy sector, our client has a substantial North American portfolio and is continuing to grow rapidly with billions of dollars in development and execution through 2030 and beyond. Responsibilities Conduct new employee project orientation and safety/environmental training with the company and subcontractor employees. Attend subcontractor preconstruction meetings, review task specific Job Hazard Analyses and assist with planning for safety issues. Lead safety/environmental incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans. Interface with regulatory bodies (OSHA, EPA, and State/Local Regulators). Evaluate contractor operational practices/equipment for safety compliance. Conduct accident investigations and assist with OSHA and environmental inspections. Ensure that required regulatory permits are acquired, that reports are submitted to regulatory agencies, and any site permit conditions (e.g. sampling, record-keeping) are met. Preferred Skills and Expertise Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience. 8-10 years of progressive experience as an Environmental Health and System Professional in the Wind and Construction arena High Voltage safety experience required.
