Senior Quality Engineer Pickering, ON Position overview Project: Manufacturing of a Condenser and 3 Low Pressure Heaters The resident supplier quality inspector shall supervise the manufacturing & assembly activities, and attend to the inspections in the workshop of the supplier and the sub-suppliers facilities The supervision and inspections will at minimum cover the incoming inspections, cutting, rolling, forming, assembly, tube expanding, orbital welding, welding, non-destructive tests, hydro/tightness tests, painting, documentation review in accordance with applicable ASME standards and Canadian regulation The target is to deliver the equipment with the associated documentation in conformance with the contractual requirements. Responsibilities: Coordination between suppliers and sub-suppliers Support the Supplier to issue/review its manufacturing documentation; Check the validity and applicability of the documentation in the workshops through execution; Monitor the manufacturing and testing activities and support/educate the supplier (you shall provide technical expertise); Ensure the supplier inspection programs are continuously updated; Perform pre-inspections with the supplier representative prior official inspection with end customer Attend to inspection activities; Open and follow-up of punch items/NCR; Ensure good EOMR compilation at each step from the very beginning; Issue weekly inspection reports Participate/Organize regular meetings / phone calls with the SQE when necessary. Candidate requirements Experience with Condenser & LP heaters - boiler making - mechanical welding in nuclear Experience in quality inspection specifically applied to these equipment Why Join Us?
