Company: BMO Bank Position: Proposal Writer Location: 33 Dundas Street West, Toronto, ON Duration: 12 months, extensions possible, full time possible based on performance Pay: $30-38/hr Start Date: November 11th Notes: One and done interview- 30 minutes HYBRID position, flexible on in office days) Must Haves: • A degree or post-graduate diploma with focus on communications, journalism, English, or related discipline is preferred. • 3-5yrs of technical writing experience. • Expert knowledge of standard office software • Expert knowledge of the Confluence system • Experience with high complexity communications in banking with preference for Risk Management/Compliance experience. • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience. Plusses: • Bilingual (English and French) Day to Day: The candidate will write, publish, and maintain operating procedures for the TPS Sales Team, and the TPS product organization. The candidate will ensure solutions are written in a clear, concise and consistent manner to provide information that increases knowledge of processes and procedures, and will help manage established procedures within Confluence (procedures management system). Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): • Provides procedure knowledge in order to support other team members, and acting as a go-to person for the team. • Determines and documents procedure; educates business partners on requirements and format • Maintains procedures within the Procedure system (Confluence) • Understands content, assesses impacts, and engages stakeholders as required to ensure accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of communication solutions. • Collects required information for review and analysis. • Analyzes content and assess impacts on existing policies and other communications initiatives. Information may be considered confidential and require appropriate handling. • Translates complex information into high quality procedures documents • Executes work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service of all communications and tasks. • Performs change management functions related to procedural communications. • Builds effective relationships with content issuers and subject matter experts to support business/groups in the delivery of documentation. • Ensures alignment between stakeholders. • Supports Policy and Procedure governance in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders. • Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus. • Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support. • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules. • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations. • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
