Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an innovative Senior Design Engineer to take the lead on projects, working closely with the companies customers as part of an advanced product development team you will have the opportunity to significantly influence the design of innovative solutions driving the evolution of aviation interiors. Your expertise will be crucial in developing cutting-edge prototypes and providing unique solutions to customer. You will get to further your experience of: Designing major components and systems using the latest computer design and engineering tools. Developing and improving products. Create detailed layouts, sketches, and design proposals, considering ease of manufacture, material availability, and cost efficiency. Investigating design factors such as strength-weight efficiency and contractual specifications. Designing and developing structures, both metallic and non-metallic. Collaborating with other engineering teams to coordinate integrated designs to ensure seamless project completion. Providing technical leadership to junior engineers. You will need to have: Significant Previous experience in new product development. Previous experience in new product development. Experience in using CATIA V5, or similar 3D modelling tools such as Siemens NX, ProE Creo Experience working with Teamcenter / Enovia or other Product Data Manager (PDM) tools. Experience working with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles. Knowledge of materials and production processes, and mechanical knowledge of parts and stress conditions. Beneficial experience Aircraft Primary and Secondary Structures Aircraft interiors and / or seating design experience.
