IDEAL CANDIDATE For this position, we're looking for a well-organized Consultant or Associate consultant (3-5 years of relevant experience) capable of conducting or leading quantitative and qualitative research and analysis on clean energy solutions, clearly communicating concepts and building relationships, and with the experience and ability to successfully manage projects of a technical or strategic nature. We are also open to more experienced candidates for more senior positions. You are also curious, passionate, rigorous and, like our team, prefer a collaborative rather than competitive approach. What's more, you offer : Required skills & experience: professional experience in the energy field, specifically in one of the following areas: knowledge of renewable energy sectors, technical expertise in clean energy technologies, know-how in energy systems planning, experience of working for an electric power or natural gas utility experience and/or natural ability to manage projects or analytical works strong analytical skills and abilities , i.e. a high degree of comfort with the development, interpretation and verification of quantitative analyses, including with Excel strong ability to develop and structure logical arguments and analyses strong communication skills (written and oral) in English ability to prioritize effectively and work on multiple projects strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with customers ability to work as part of a team (collaborative, friendly, understanding approach) a clear interest in energy transition and decarbonization. Value-adding qualifications: consulting experience (or skills), i.e. the ability to grasp customer needs, ask the right questions, synthesize complex information and develop practical recommendations experience in solving analytical problems using code (such as Python or R) to model economic and energy impacts and trends knowledge of Quebec's energy context and related policies and regulations good communication in French (written and oral) RESPONSIBILITIES In collaboration with more than 50 expert colleagues in the field, you will carry out studies and plans for governments (municipal, provincial and federal), utilities and non-profit organizations with decision-making power and / or influence to move the transition forward in an efficient and responsible manner. You will contribute to a variety of impactful projects for our clients across Canada and the U.S. At Dunsky, our consultants take on a wide variety of challenges and responsibilities: Projects: managing entire projects or tasks within projects, including working with colleagues and ensuring high-quality products are delivered on time and on budget. Customers: advise customers, including communicating key findings in clear written reports and sharp presentations. Proposals : contribute to business development, notably by preparing thoughtful and thorough proposals. Thought leadership: develop or provide thought leadership in at least one area of energy transition, both internally and with external audiences (this may evolve over time). Overall: We adapt to your strengths, so responsibilities can vary and may include elements such as creating analytical models, facilitating stakeholder meetings, launching high-impact projects or other contributions. LOCATION The successful candidate will work from our offices in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver or from home elsewhere in Canada.
