Job Description

Medical Project Manager Greater Toronto Area Position Overview Our client is seeking a Medical Project Manager to join their team. The Medical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing critical Medical Affairs projects in various therapeutic areas. This role ensures operational efficiency by managing project execution, tracking progress, and supporting the Medical Affairs team's business functions. Key Responsibilities Lead project management for Medical Affairs, aligning strategies and objectives across the Oncology, Rare Disease, and Neuroscience therapeutic areas. Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, project tracking, budget oversight, and meeting coordination. Implement and maintain systems to track Medical Affairs projects and ensure alignment across global and local teams. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clinical, business partners, and cross-functional teams. Monitor investigator-initiated and company-sponsored trials, ensuring compliance with internal processes. Support the preparation and review of materials for internal presentations, meetings, and strategic discussions. Coordinate the Grants and Donations process in collaboration with the internal committee. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; life sciences background preferred. Certification in Medical Education or Professional Development is a plus. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in project management within clinical trials or medical operations. At least 3 years’ experience in Medical Affairs or commercial roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Strong project management skills. Experience with vendor management. Ability to develop and manage stakeholder relationships. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams). Knowledge of Innovative Medicines Canada guidelines is an advantage. Excellent communication and project management skills.
