If you want a place where people love coming to work every day, keep reading: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team We have a highly collaborative work environment that is supported through an in-office approach. Working side-by-side with other Capital team members and our clients brings out the best in us and produces exceptional results. This position will be in-person, with no hybrid option. There is the ability to choose either a standard 5-day work week, or a condensed 4-day work week. What are we looking for? Act as a project lead and point of contact with clients; Support our clients and other disciplines with Civil/Structural Engineering work; Develop scoping studies, DBMs, Construction Work Packages and reports; Perform and check calculations including Finite Element Analysis; Work with designers and other disciplines to execute projects; Support and mentor junior staff and review junior staff’s work; Perform structural integrity inspections and condition assessments of existing structures; Engage in constructability reviews and support construction sequencing/scheduling; Support project stakeholders with concept designs, rigging/placement studies and temporary structure designs; Develop scopes of work, studies, and specifications as required; Provide technical support on site during construction. What do we value: Civil Engineering Degree; Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation by APEGA; 8-10 years of related experience; Fluency in both written and spoken English; A self-starter with strong technical, interpersonal, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
