About the Company: Are you a qualified Senior Architectural Designer looking to work for a rapidly growing Design & Engineering company on interesting projects? If so, our Orillia, Ontario office is looking for a Senior Architectural Designer to work for a company that values people and has an excellent reputation. We are seeking an enthusiastic designer with appropriate qualifications that is on a fast-track career, desires to work in a great innovative firm and is interested in a challenging and rewarding environment. About the Role: Reporting to the Leadership Team, you will use your knowledge and expertise of REVIT software to design and apply to a variety of projects . Knowledge of BIM modeling and applications of software is a must. The Senior Architectural Designer must be results-orientated and have the ability to effectively prioritize workflows and schedules while applying independent thinking. Responsibilities: Prepare conceptual design drawings in conjunction with the Design Manager, Analyze architectural plans, drawings and complete amendments with minimal supervision, using Autodesk Revit software, Production of Autodesk Revit drawings from preliminary concepts including the required technical drafting and specifications, Prepare and facilitate schematic plans, designs and construction drawings for architectural projects while applying knowledge of design, building materials, the applicable Building Codes and Standards and good building science principals, Collaborate with Structural, Mechanical and Electrical teams to complete designs and resolve challenges, ensuring of delivery within the schedule, Coordinate with builders throughout construction, Work on multiple projects, with tight deadlines, while prioritizing, collaborating, and communicating clearly with all parties involved, and The experience and ability to review and mark-up construction drawings for accuracy and detail is an asset. Qualifications: University degree or college certificate in Architecture/Construction/Engineering/Design related field. Competent understanding of the Building Code (will be working in multiple provinces). BCIN Certifications in Legal & House or higher. Fluent/Expert in Revit. Rapid designing in Revit, using & creating families, issuing & controlling large document packages and the ability to manage 6-8 related/linked models. High Proficiency in Bluebeam Ideally 5 years of experience managing the design of construction projects preferably in the residential/commercial sector with modular construction experience treated as a bonus. Excellent communication skills – written and verbal in English and an ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with technical and operational language. Possesses strong leadership skills. Outstanding customer service orientated attitude and good judgement. You will be a solution focused, team player who can work in a fast-paced environment.
