Ontario Land Surveyor

The Opportunity Our client, a well respected consulting firm is sourcing a talented Ontario Land Surveyor to join their Geomatics division in Thunder Bay. In this role, you will lead the oversight of new and ongoing legal survey projects, ensuring accurate land surveys and effective project management. What You'll Be Doing • Completing and coordinating land surveys, including: o Retracing original township and water boundaries. o Preparing reference and registered plans for severances, subdivisions, condominiums, mining claims, and Crown lands. o Conducting topographic and volumetric surveys utilizing technologies, including drone data capture. • Performing title searches, calculations, and drafting. • Working with clients to define project requirements, scope, and objectives. • Managing projects, including budget oversight and supervision of assigned staff. What You'll Need to Be Successful • Designation as an Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS). • Additional accreditation as a Canada Land Surveyor (CLS), or a commitment to obtain it, will be highly regarded. • Proficiency in industry-standard software, particularly MicroSurvey. • Strong project management and client communication skills. • 10 years of experience in land surveying is preferred.
