About The Role We are seeking an Interior Superintendent to play a lead role on a 41-story residential tower in the Metrotown, Burnaby area. This role requires taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the construction site, with a key focus on overseeing the interior finishing of each residential suite. Key responsibilities: Supervision and development of site team members through regular feedback, training and coaching; timely completion of performance evaluations; Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions and change notices to ensure scopes, terms and conditions are properly executed; Identify and advise of design deficiencies, schedule interruptions or difficulties, and other project issues; works collaboratively with Project Manager to resolve issues; Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance with regards to safety and scope of work; Ensure sufficient manpower is provided to achieve safety, schedule and quality objectives; Maintain daily paperwork including field reports, safety inspections, schedule updates, etc; Ensures and encourages all employees, subcontractors and contractors are adhering to the company safety policies; Performs daily site reviews of all work completed and ensure is per drawings and specifications; Assist with grievance issues and general site labor issues; Works under the supervision of Head Office, communicates effectively with all departments and provides reports as requested. What You Bring The ideal Interior Superintendent has high attention to detail, with motivation to work in a fast-paced environment. You are easy to get along-with and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with people at all levels. You are committed to producing quality work in a timely efficient manner by effectively communicating and maintaining strong relationships with trades. Skills and Requirements At least four (4) years of experience as interior superintendent with a general contractor; Red seal carpenter would be considered an asset. Strong ability and proven experience in leading a site crews of various sizes; Ability to communicate effectively and established relationships with trades in the area; An extensive history of working on a site until project completion. The base salary range for this role may be $100,000 to $135,000, depending on experience, plus a competitive performance-based bonus program.
