VP Sourcing and Production

We are searching for for a Senior level ( VP/Sr. Director of Sourcing and Production ) SUMMARY OF THE POSITION : Sourcing The objective is to manage the sourcing strategy within the woven department for ladies’ pants blazers skirts and casual items. From engaging with new and existing suppliers to overseeing the costing and bidding process with the costing team. Meet and engage with new potential vendors Manage the bidding process across all vendors. Oversee the onboarding of new vendors. Lead negotiation on price and delivery. Sign off on the final placement of orders per supplier. Oversee the capacity per vendor to ensure no vendor gets overloaded. Expert knowledge of garment construction and assembly is required. Production Work with the production manager and the import coordinators to make sure fit and PP samples are coming in regularly and on time as well as make sure factory output per month is in line with our production schedule and take action when vendors veer off schedule. Represent the production Department within the Fit and QC teams. Oversee weekly production meetings Oversee the weekly, monthly output per vendor to identify delays Work closely with the fit department to identify poor vendors or trouble styles Constantly review and determine reallocating of orders to ensure no vendor is falling behind Identify problems and damage control Negotiate discounts and conflict resolution with Vendors. Review of production KPI’s and take action when they fall behind. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 7-10 years experience in sourcing and production in ladies apparel Exceptional negotiation, project management and leadership skills In depth understanding of of global sourcing, production standards, quality control and compliance Prior experience in producing goods for large retailers Experience working with duty free countries and emerging markets
