Job Description
Regional Public Affairs Lead Ontario Lock Search Group has partnered with a leading global MedTech company to find a talented and experienced Regional Public Affairs Lead to join their team. In this critical role, reporting to the VP of Public Affairs, you will play a key part in shaping and implementing policy, market access, and government relations strategies to improve access to innovative medical technologies. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement activities to influence key legislation, policy priorities, and government relations. Increase access through public reimbursement processes within the designated region. Lead and coordinate participation in political and policy legislative initiatives. Partner with decision-makers, policymakers, and stakeholders to support strategic planning. Provide subject matter expertise on the political landscape and develop reimbursement strategies. Monitor, analyze, and develop action plans for shifting health system landscapes. Collaborate with colleagues to prioritize and identify key areas of work within provincial health systems. Liaise with regional counterparts to share learnings and strategies. Work cross-functionally to advance key priorities. Drive data acquisition and Health Economics modeling. Participate in stakeholder committees to shape and plan health systems. JOB REQUIREMENTS BScH, BA, or MBA (Business, Public Policy, Health Policy, Political Science, or equivalent) 5 years of relevant experience in Government Relations, Public Policy, or Government Affairs. Experience in Health Economics, Government Lobbying, or direct government work. Strong understanding of Canadian government systems and political processes. Deep knowledge of healthcare systems, health policy, and health technology considerations in Canada. Proven ability to develop relationships with policymakers and thought leaders. Excellent negotiation and educational skills with political and bureaucratic officials. Proficient in Public Policy Development and lobbying. Strategic agility with strong written and verbal communication skills. Results-oriented with a focus on execution. Field-based role with required travel and overtime as necessary. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years and meet auto safety standards. Bilingualism is an asset.
