If you want a place where people love coming to work every day, keep reading: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer with 10 years of experience in brownfield and/or greenfield utility, oil & gas, oil sands, refinery or industrial projects to join our team Capital Engineering believes in a collaborative approach, where we work and communicate as a team daily. We offer a standard 5-day work week, or a condensed 4-day work week. However, all successful candidates must be willing to work in the office, not remotely. What are we looking for? 10 years experience in design for brownfield and/or greenfield utility, oil & gas, oil sands, refinery, or industrial projects. Any construction support and/or field engineering for brownfield and/or greenfield utility, oil & gas, oil sands, refinery, or industrial projects would be considered an asset. Registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer. Experience with medium and low voltage electrical power distribution systems and equipment, including transformers, switchgear, VFDs, motor control centers, and motors. Experience in power system analyses (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Relay Co-ordination, Arc-Flash, Motor Starting). Experience in using ETAP, preparing electronic protection relay settings and preparing hazardous area classification studies. Must have knowledge of international and Canadian electrical standards and codes including NRC, CSA, and IEEE. Familiarity with electrical safety regulations and practices. Development of work packages, answering requests for information, and resolution of technical deviations to engineering specifications. Support the Electrical Department Head in estimates and job planning. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified electrical hazards. Also provide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Electrical team and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
