Your new company Hays has partnered with a leader in the ICI construction industry for over four decades. They have successfully completed projects in a variety of different verticals including, government, educational, hotels, mission-critical and other commercial and institutional projects. They have offices across Canada maintaining a solid reputation for construction and project management excellence. Your new role The open role for our client is a Project Executive, reporting directly to the President of the company. They will primarily have the responsibility of leading and closing projects and leading existing customer development and management. They will be the lead on various projects that will include work in infrastructure, institutional, long-term care, and new rehabilitation builds; these projects will range from $5M to $300M in value. The Project Executive will be the primary point of contact for the client from the RFP process, through the construction of the project and will maintain the relationship post completion, fostering strong relations. They will be a leader on the project team and be able to identify any project or contract risks, mitigation measures and any value adds in the preparation of the response. What you'll need to succeed The successful Project Executive will have 15 years of construction experience in ICI preferably in the Greater Toronto Area as a Senior Project Manager or Director level. They will be currently working for a Tier 1 ICI Contractor in a similar position . They will have a Post-Secondary Education in architecture, engineering or a certificate in Project Management. This candidate will be familiar with various contract delivery methods that include lump sum, CCDC3 Construction Management, and CCDC5B Construction Management at Risk. They will be a leader, including management of internal personnel, an effective communicator and be able to foster long-lasting relationships with clients. They will be sound in negotiation, mediation, and have strong planning and organizational capabilities. Experience in healthcare or hospitals would be a definite asset. What you'll get in return In return, this Project Executive will receive a competitive base salary of $200,000 dependent on experience and short term and long term incentives.
