Why join TKG Enjoy your birthday off 6 Personal Days Flexible schedule Wellness allowance RRSP matching Full benefits including an EAP Free onsite parking Free Coffee Company events As the Packaging Development Specialist, you will collaborate with the design and production departments while being responsible for designing artwork for packaging, creating labeling and packaging tech packs, sourcing new printing materials, communicating with offshore suppliers and more. What You Will Do: Create labelling and packaging tech packs following regulatory compliance and customer requirements Prepare packaging instructions; verify packaging & labelling layouts Design artwork for bellybands/boxes/packaging required Prepare mock-up packaging when required Ensure accuracy of labelling act regulations for every country Understand and adhere to all customer and company manuals and regulatory compliance, ensuring all changes made are communicated to the China office or Bangladesh factories Review design layouts for new and repeat orders for both private labels and our proprietary brands Review digital files layouts for UPCs, Casepack UPCs, Price Tickets and Labels Verify folding methods to release shipments Work with supplier, China office & logistic team to verify if carton dimensions are correct and adhere to customers regulations Manage hanger/hook determination Manage sourcing of new printing materials including sustainability Supply costing department with packaging/die-line layouts and information PDQ management including sourcing, quantity and construction/measurements Provide creative assistance when needed (ex.: packaging artwork, die-line, photography, size charts, etc.) Support different departments regarding packaging specifications (ex.: vendor pack weight and vendor pack cube, hooks, customer POs, SKUs etc.) Contact customer-specific department reps for information and approvals Take care of RFID testing submissions (filling out requested info form, provide placement pictures, videos and GTIN) Create all packaging and labelling content in PLM Keep and maintain a library of submission and comments/reviews, as well as potential quality What You Need: Minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator Knowledge of Photoshop and Bridge an asset Experience in design and research for new packaging elaboration and development Ability to work, and collaborate with various department – sales, design, suppliers and customers Capable to work under pressure with specific deadlines Structured and organized to maintain clear documents library
