Job Description

Job Description: Insight Global is looking for a Technical Project Manager for our hardware/software client located in Richmond, BC, for a 12 month to permanent full-time engagement. In this role at the Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the product development of LTE/5G/WiFi 5/WiFi 6 technologies: • Ability to plan and execute to plan on the development of new wireless products from initial design requirements through to production • Work with both internal multidiscipline teams as well as external partners • Internal teams include, FW, SW, HW, RF, ME, and Approvals • External partners include ODM’s and external subcontract suppliers • Work with other departments such as Product Line Management, Operations and Quality to ensure successful transfer to mass production and commercial launch • Work with engineering and other department to maintain the production line or release an updated SW to the production line • Manage the entire product development process Must Haves: • 3-5 years of Technical Project Management experience; directly designing hardware and software products for production • Working knowledge of hardware, radio frequency (RF), and software for commercial high-volume products. • Ability to understand, debug, and resolve hardware/software (HW/SW) issues. • Strong understanding of software (SW) development cycles and software quality assurance (SQA) processes. • Good understanding of complex systems that integrate both hardware (HW) and software (SW). • Familiarity with new product introduction (NPI) processes and electronics manufacturing processes.
