If you’re ready to take on a leadership role that combines strategy, community development, project management, and social responsibility, we want to hear from you This is a 12 month contract with a hybird working model (1-2 days on site) located in Windsor. The Manager, Community Initiatives will oversee the administration and project management of the Community Benefits Plan, ensuring its on budget, effective delivery and compliance with the Project Agreement. This role involves evaluating both measurable and non-measurable outcomes, identifying issues, and elevating them as needed. The manager will collaborate closely with community benefit coordinators, stakeholders, internal stakeholders, and community members to ensure the success of this high-profile component of the project. Key Responsibilities: Administer and manage the Project's Community Benefits Plan, ensuring compliance and effective delivery. Allocate budget to multiple projects accordingly Evaluate both measurable and qualitative outcomes of the plan, addressing any issues that arise. Work closely with Project partners, community members, and stakeholders to facilitate the plan’s success. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, planning, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in community engagement. Expertise in providing strategic advice and services, and developing reporting mechanisms. Experience collaborating with the public, consultants, and contractors. Strong skills in interpreting consultation outcomes and implementing actionable initiatives. Proven ability to plan and facilitate meetings. Experience in international communications is an asset. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated professional judgment, initiative, and ability to work under pressure. Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong political awareness, with the ability to influence and build relationships. Critical thinking and ability to mentor and motivate staff. Intermediate MS Office proficiency. Knowledge of Spanish is an asset. Ability to obtain Government of Canada Personnel Screening/Security Clearance. Willingness to travel within Ontario and Michigan.
