Sharepoint Designer

Location : Remote, Calgary AB Type : Contract (2-months with potential extension) Role Overview: Akkodis Client is seeking for a skilled SharePoint Designer to create a dynamic and visually appealing Sustainability Micro-Site. This role involves moving away from using external platforms like WordPress or Wix and bringing website design and development in-house using SharePoint. The microsite will showcase Client's sustainability initiatives and be publicly available, managed primarily by the corporate communications team. If successful, the project may extend to cover future intranet development projects. Key Responsibilities: Design and Develop : Create an engaging, user-friendly microsite on SharePoint , focusing on visual appeal and mobile-friendly design. Website Development : Build a public-facing microsite from start to finish, utilizing HTML, JavaScript, and SharePoint design tools. Content Management : Ensure that the corporate communications team can easily update content periodically. Collaboration : Work with in-house SharePoint Developer, to leverage any pre-existing templates and backend development needs. Requirements: Proven experience in SharePoint web design and development , specifically building public-facing microsites or intranets. Strong skills in HTML , JavaScript , and other web development tools. Experience with creating mobile-responsive websites on SharePoint. Ability to work independently to design a website that balances aesthetics with ease of use. Experience building corporate communication portals or similar microsites. Ability to work on a tight 2-month deadline with potential for project extension. A portfolio is required along with resume for submission
