About the Role The Manager, People & Culture is responsible for working with business leaders on all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and talent management. This role will serve as a professional brand ambassador for Fitzrovia, establishing strong business relationships through sound judgment, confidentiality, a positive attitude and hard work. Note this is a full-time, in-office role, based at Fitzrovia's Head Office located at 2 St. Clair Ave W., Toronto, Ontario. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment Provide full life-cycle recruitment, including meeting with hiring managers, posting roles, sourcing applicants, conducting interviews, making hiring recommendations, etc. Develop and manage Fitzrovia’s campus recruitment program, including managing the Intern and New Graduate programs. Develop and implement innovative search strategies for sourcing passive candidates using a variety of resources. In collaboration with the Marketing team, design and post HR-centric content for LinkedIn and social media, including spotlights for specific roles, information about the culture, etc. Track key recruitment and onboarding metrics to provide insights on a quarterly basis. Manage candidate communication to ensure a positive experience throughout the recruitment process. As a subject matter expert, provide support to hiring teams with respect to networking, sourcing, posting content on LinkedIn, interviewing, candidate communication, etc. Build and manage relationships with external recruitment agencies. Onboarding / Offboarding In collaboration with other members of the HR and Corporate Operations team, ensure new hires are properly set up for their first day. Ensure new hire onboarding process is fully executed for all new hires. Maintain and execute onboarding and offboarding surveys, making recommendations for improvement based on results. Performance Management Assist in the administration of Fitzrovia’s Performance Management program, including mid-year reviews, career conversations, year-end performance reviews, and 360 reviews. Work with managers as required in performance management initiatives, including feedback conversations and performance improvement plans. Work with managers to establish career plans for high performing team members. General Human Resources & Culture Act as a brand ambassador for Fitzrovia by being a positive influence / presence in all interactions with all candidates, colleagues and industry stakeholders. Support the business with employee relations matters, including facilitating promotions, transfers, investigations, and other employee changes. Work with other members of the HR team to deliver impactful and relevant training for employees. Participate in employee engagement survey initiatives, reviewing results and action planning. Lead and/or partner in other special projects, as required. Qualifications and Experiences: Bachelors degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources or related field is required. CHRP or CHRL an asset. Minimum 4 years experience working in an HR and recruitment capacity. Minimum 1-2 years experience in a management capacity. Previous real estate, construction, property management and/or client service experience an asset. Proven experience / ability to interview and select candidates for a variety of positions. Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter considered an asset. Strong working knowledge of provincial employment and labour legislation and statutes. Strong interpersonal capabilities with a track record of working collaboratively with others to deliver results. Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner. Strong organization, prioritization and work management skills. Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced and multi-tasked environment. Ability to adapt and tailor processes and plans to specific client needs. Ability to work in a highly confidential environment. Ability to travel to our properties located within the city of Toronto.
