Job Description
Job Summary: The Mobility Planning and Scheduling delivery team at Trapeze implements a wide variety of software products and technical solutions for a number of transit agencies in North America. As an Implementation Specialist, you will be an integral part of this team. You will be responsible for the overall implementation of Trapeze’s solution offerings by working directly with our customers to improve their transit mobility planning and scheduling operations. Your responsibilities will include business analysis, requirements gathering, software installation/configuration, software testing, and data conversion/data management. In addition, you will also be responsible for designing technical training materials and facilitating training sessions for customers in a wide variety of delivery methods (e.g.: 1 on 1, hands-on, remote, and classroom-based sessions). You are an ambitious and driven individual who has the ability to quickly learn and understand Trapeze software applications and project delivery methodology. ROLE IS AVAILABLE REMOTELY WITHIN NORTH AMERICA ONLY Job Description: What You Will Be Doing: Ensuring that Trapeze solutions are delivered and operational in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Analyzing and documenting customer business requirements, developing in-depth understanding of business processes and providing recommendations based on best practices. Strategically resolving problems using your strong leadership skills and your ability to think critically and analytically. Developing strong relationships with our customers to establish credibility and trust. Installing, configuring, testing and supporting Trapeze software applications in multiple environments Interpreting union contracts and understanding how a customers’ business rules will be addressed through different software configurations. Communicating software and project status to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, project managers, software developers and fellow team members Working under minimal supervision and balancing multiple projects effectively and efficiently while meeting stringent timelines and changing priorities. Creating training content and facilitating training to customers’ end users and subject matter experts. Aiding customer data development and management activities Tracking customer issues to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner. Supporting a philosophy of continuous improvement by building a legacy of implementation templates and project artifacts that are critical to the Trapeze MPS delivery team. What You Bring To The Team: Ability to travel up to 50% within North America 3 - 5 years of customer facing experience in a technical software support role, consulting role, or business analysis role Experience in Transit, and familiarity with the business/industry is an asset. Scheduling and knowledge of fixed route scheduling concepts is an asset. Familiarity with MS SQL and Oracle databases as well as writing queries to extract data. Prior experience implementing/testing and training users on configurable software solutions and web-based applications is an asset. Prior experience in leading adult learning and facilitation is an asset Understanding of Microsoft Platforms including Office, Windows 10, Windows 11 and Windows Server. Prior experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an asset Superior command of communication, written and verbal English with a demonstrated ability to produce quality technical writing/documentation. Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Planning, Information Technology or Urban Transportation (or equivalent experience) is an asset
