Lankin prioritizes a people-first culture, fostering an environment that supports personal and professional development for all team members We are seeking a visionary Senior Director, Strategy and Operations to partner with the Chief Operating Officer in crafting and executing strategic initiatives, and scaling business operations that enhance performance, profitability, and market share across a diverse portfolio of growing, private companies. Your Opportunity The Senior Director, Strategy and Operations is a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit who will act a trusted advisor to four Business Unit Presidents and beyond. Collaborating with these Company Presidents, the Senior Director will share responsibility for each company’s P&L and be tasked with developing and executing strategies to achieve optimization and growth of each business. The businesses are in the industries of real estate, manufacturing, financial services and non-for-profit. The Senior Director will possess a willingness and desire to dive deep into businesses to learn, asses, advise and create tangible operational value. The position will provide direction/guidance on operational strategy and operating models, revenue growth, business cases, transformation initiatives including process and cost optimization, data modernization, as well as adoption of relevant emerging technologies. This position requires building and executing core operational processes including business planning, reporting, and ongoing operations management that are tailored to entrepreneurial private companies. Develop and collaborate on the annual strategic business plan for each business unit, pinpointing areas for optimization and opportunity. Leverage market insights and knowledge to craft business development and growth strategies. Identify process efficiencies and lead efforts to scale standard methodologies and procedures across each business. Conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analyses to draw business insights, develop actionable initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Drive operational rigour by measuring progress against objectives and leading critical management meetings to discuss performance. Leading Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a university degree in finance, business, or a related field; over 8 years experience in strategy and business operations preferably in management consulting or private equity; strong financial/business acumen, with a focus to operations, innovation and modernization of business models and processes; superior project management abilities to structure work into practicable pieces, support complex projects and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment; the ability to make informed decisions and devise creative solutions to tackle complex challenges; a track record of building effective and trust-based relationships with business owners. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills with a strong focus on attention to detail and the ability to work in an entrepreneurial, result-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
