About the Role: Title: Lead Power BI Developer Location: 100% remote - PST hours Day to day: Led a team in designing and implementing scalable Power BI solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications. Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI models and reports. Develop and maintain data models, databases, and systems to ensure data integrity. Implement best practices in data visualization and business intelligence. Mentor junior engineers and promote a collaborative team environment. Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI-related issues, ensuring high performance. Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards. Extensive expertise in semantic data modeling concepts and optimizing reports to deliver high-performing dashboards. Work with various data sources, connecting, extracting, loading, and transforming data to create datasets for business analysts. Qualifications: 8-10 years of experience in Power BI engineering and data visualization. 2-4 years in a leadership role managing a team of data engineers. Proficient in Power BI, SQL, DAX, and Power Query. Data modeling is a must. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Salary Range: The salary for this position is between CAD 130000- 160000 Annually. Factors affecting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
