Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Wood Frame Superintendent with a strong background in overseeing the construction of multi family projects on Vancouver Island. Experience managing projects from breaking ground to project completion. A proven history of delivering projects on time and on budget. Key Responsibilities Manage all on site activities; Weekly/bi weekly/Monthly meetings with trades and consultants as needed Liaison with all City Officials Create schedules Competent at reviewing all work drawings and able to identify conflicts and issues in advance Supervise all sub-trades, suppliers, and workers Conduct site safety orientation and weekly safety meetings with sub-trades Review on-site work to confirm that project is being built as per drawings, specifications, code and ensure that all finishes are to the Company’s and industry standards Desired Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential/commercial construction projects as a superintendent Experience as a Superintendent on wood frame building projects Experience working on projects valued in excess of $40M Extensive knowledge of procedures, methods, conditions and documents related to building construction Demonstrated history of timely and within-budget construction Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office, ProCore and scheduling/tracking software
