Enterprise Architect

LeverageTek is actively seeking an Enterprise Architect for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer. Work Location Remote Key Tasks Configure Windows Server operating systems to meet the requirements for various types of servers, including Web, Database (Clustered), Application, Business Intelligence (BI) and File Index (Clustered) Install, configure, and optimize IIS (Internet Information Services) according to application specifications Analyze, configure, and deploy third-party software, including payment processing, imaging peripherals, and PDF generation applications Ensure compatibility of third-party software with the organization’s application stack and infrastructure Deploy applications to the new servers using CI/CD pipelines, ensuring proper integration with the overall infrastructure Develop, optimize, and maintain automated deployment processes Smoke Testing and Application Validation - Perform application smoke testing to ensure basic functionality and stability after deployment Troubleshoot and resolve issues using best practices Go-Live in Lower and Production Environments - Oversee and execute deployments in lower (development, test, QA) and production environments, ensuring minimal disruption and smooth transition Work closely with stakeholders to coordinate go-live activities and ensure operational readiness Key Qualifications Extensive experience configuring IIS, Active Directory, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and ADFS in large-scale enterprise environments Proven ability to deploy applications using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.) and perform smoke testing for validation Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting third-party software including payment gateways, PDF generators, and imaging devices Qualifications 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Windows Server administration and enterprise architecture Extensive experience configuring IIS, Active Directory, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and ADFS in largescale enterprise environments Proven ability to deploy applications using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.) and perform smoke testing for validation Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting third-party software including payment gateways, PDF generators, and imaging devices Strong understanding of server and application security best practices, including firewall and load balancer configurations Familiarity with application migration and server upgrade methodologies Windows Server Upgrades - Need experience upgrading with customer applications. Would need some level of server admin/IIS experience here. SQL Server Upgrades/Migrations - Need experience upgrading/migrating with custom applications. TFS Version Control - Need experience with CI/CD pipelines and .NET experience with custom applications.
