Job Overview: As the Lead Mining and Engineering Recruiter , reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will take on a leadership role within our recruitment team. You will work closely with recruitment consultants, coordinators, and clients to lead the identification and attraction of top-tier talent in the engineering and mining sectors. In this senior role, you will oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, mentor junior recruiters, and ensure the delivery of high-quality candidates to our clients. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong track record of success in recruitment and a passion for building lasting connections. Key Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition & Sourcing: Lead and manage comprehensive candidate searches using various sourcing methods, including LinkedIn, Indeed, and other platforms. Screen, interview, and assess candidates to ensure alignment with job specifications and organizational culture. Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial contact to offer negotiation and onboarding. Draft and review strategic job postings and detailed candidate profiles to ensure they meet the needs of clients. Talent Pipeline Building: Develop and maintain strong candidate pipelines, ensuring a continuous flow of qualified candidates for current and future roles. Maintain regular communication with candidates in the database while actively expanding the database through strategic searches. Provide consistent and constructive feedback to candidates throughout the recruitment process. Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior recruiters and recruitment consultants, offering support to enhance their performance. Share best practices and lead training sessions to improve team effectiveness in talent acquisition and client management. Take ownership of complex or high-priority roles and manage client expectations effectively. Data Integrity & Administration: Ensure all candidate and client data is accurately entered and maintained in the company’s internal CRM/database. Maintain thorough and up-to-date candidate records to facilitate efficient reporting and analysis. Reporting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of key recruitment statistics and reports for Weekly Business Reviews (WBR) and Monthly Business Reviews (MBR). Provide accurate placement forecasts with the support of the Global Recruitment Manager. Contribute to the creation of recruitment materials such as hiring guides, job descriptions, and candidate call data inputs. Team Collaboration & Strategy Development: Engage in team targets and work collaboratively to meet organizational recruitment goals. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement recruitment strategies that align with client needs. Share commercial insights about candidates, market trends, and client requirements with the team to enhance recruitment efforts. Market Research & Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, emerging projects, and market conditions within the engineering and mining industries. Provide valuable market insights to both clients and candidates, enhancing your role as a trusted recruitment advisor. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 7-10 years of proven experience in recruitment, with a focus on the mining and engineering sectors. Demonstrated leadership experience in a recruitment or talent acquisition environment. Strong knowledge of recruitment processes, talent acquisition strategies, and sourcing techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, candidates, and team members. A results-oriented mindset with a history of exceeding recruitment targets. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and CRM tools.
