Vice President of Manufacturing

Our client, headquartered in Saskatoon has grown significantly over the past few years, now operating globally and are at the forefront of innovation in the human and animal nutrition space. We’re currently seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing, responsible for the operations functions of manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics within North America. The successful candidate will be a driver in various strategic initiatives while leveraging a customer focused mindset and ensuring cohesion across various departments. Responsibilities: Develop strategies for cross functional operations team to ensure key metrics, initiatives and goals are met Oversee operational functions to ensure optimum production while maintaining high quality standards Drives standards and initiatives as it relates to lean manufacturing, quality, on-time delivery, logistics management, cost controls and operational efficiencies Manage operational budget, including resources allocation and performance to financial goals Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize costs and improve customer service Develop KPI’s and manage performance through setting expectations and accountability Recommend capital expenditures and investments and develop and implement safety protocols and procedures Desired Qualifications: Post-secondary degree in a related field, master’s degree preferred. 10 years’ food manufacturing experience with 5 years’ leadership experience and proven ability leading, influencing, and aligning staff on a clear vision Demonstrated ability developing systems, production planning, inventory, procurement and manufacturing processes Project management, facilities and capital projects experience Strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills Remuneration: Our client offers a salary commensurate upon experience, full benefits, defined contribution pension plan, and the opportunity to join an established, yet fast-growing organization driving innovation in health.
