Solutions Architect

Position: Senior Solutions Architect Contract Period: 09/23/2024 – 09/22/2025 (Potential to extend or convert) Pay Rate: TBD Work Location: Hybrid (3 days in-office: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday) Location: Toronto, Ontario, Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday; 37.5 hrs/week Note: Evening or early morning availability may be required for Asia portfolio support. About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join our team, supporting key functions across corporate lines of business including Marketing, Finance, Global Risk, and more. You will drive architectural alignment and create solutions that enhance business capabilities and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business teams to identify opportunities for architectural alignment and reuse. Define and address gaps in strategic architecture, providing recommendations to executives. Deliver architectural initiatives that align with business strategies and enhance efficiency. Communicate architectural decisions, plans, and strategies to stakeholders. Analyze complex business problems and design viable technical solutions. Ensure quality and consistency in architectural artifacts, including system and data flows. Contribute to best practices and governance standards for architecture. Candidate Requirements: Must-Have Skills: 8-10 years of experience in large, complex system integration projects. Strong expertise in crafting architecture plans for software, platform, and infrastructure. Proficiency in cloud platform Microsoft Azure. Experience in Agile development environments. Nice-to-Have Skills: Knowledge of API design and integration patterns. Familiarity with integration technologies (APIs, microservices, ETL tools, etc.). Soft Skills: Self-sufficient in an agile environment with excellent communication skills. Ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical skills with the capability to troubleshoot complex issues. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). Cloud certifications are a plus. Ideal Candidate: The best candidate will demonstrate deep industry expertise and the ability to communicate effectively.
