Job Description
Systematix is currently looking for an EDI Analyst to support ongoing day-to-day activities and projects aimed at integrating operations internally and with our client's partners globally. ABOUT THE PROJECT: The IT Analyst role utilizes system, process, and business knowledge at manufacturing sites in Hamilton to provide business integration support and EDI support. The successful candidate will act as a liaison with the business, software solution partners and work alongside the business users for gathering and documenting business needs. In addition, the candidate will be developing solutions within Boomi or VisualCron to meet the customer needs. They will also work with our client's EDI Trading Partners, new or existing, to set up new EDI processes, or enhance current processes to meet business requirements. They will also review the work of peers and perform the promotion to the production environment in accordance with our Change Management process. This role will require the individual to be available for off-hours production support, with an on-call rotation. Compensation will occur for any off-hours support work required. This position reports to the Application Services Manager. ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with business owners to analyze and document customer needs and business processes. Perform application software upgrades and testing. Work with EDI Trading Partners, and the business, to resolve issues relating to EDI processing in the Boomi/D365 environment. Create and update processes with the Boomi environment. Perform the required testing and present results for review prior to implementation. Participate and provide technical input into project-based activities. Communicate with stakeholders and manage the technical requirements to ensure successful end-to-end delivery. Identify and recommend opportunities for system improvement. Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes and our client’s digitalization journey. ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS: College Diploma or University degree with a Technical / Business Major, such as Computer Sciences, Commerce or work-related experience. Proven ability to design and optimize business process and to integrate business processes across various systems Experience with Enterprise Integration tools such as Boomi required 2 years of work-related experience working with a Tier 1 ERP application (D365 F&O, SAP). Knowledge of industry standards including XML, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, Java Script, Groovy, SQL and OData. Knowledge of ANSI X12 EDI standards and EDI communication standards including AS2 and SFTP/FTP. Excellent analysis skills and the ability to develop processes and methodologies. Proven experience supporting users within an ERP system. Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment. Ability to multitask and adapt to the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. The ability to follow direction and work well with others is a necessity. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools including Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and Power Point. Detail-oriented : it is essential to provide quality work at every stage of the process and to be organized. Creativity : Creativity is encouraged to find solutions that will simplify the process, which will support operations, and maximize the use of tools. Writing skills : to create clear documentation relating to the processes created so that the systems can be supported by other team members Communication skills : the candidate should have the ability to work with the business and trading partners to determine technical requirements for IT related projects ABOUT THE ROLE: 12 months of contract to start with normal, fast-paced office environment for a high impact team. Schedule: Monday to Friday - 4 days onsite and 1 day is remote at candidate's choice Off-hours production support, with an on-call rotation required.
