Reliability Advisor / Maintenance Engineering

Please note - location is based on site in Sorel-Tracy, QC. About: Our client, one of the largest mining companies in the world, is seeking a skilled Reliability Advisor to join their asset management team in Quebec Operations. This role is focused on supporting operational units to enhance reliability and improve asset integrity. Key Responsibilities: Develop and refine maintenance strategies and practices for operational sectors, aligning with industry standards and organizational goals. Lead and support the implementation of reliability-focused processes, coaching team members and building capacity for ongoing improvement. Act as an advocate for asset management best practices, ensuring compliance with established roles and responsibilities. Collaborate with various departments to evaluate and manage risks associated with asset life cycles, including monitoring critical equipment health. Conduct process reviews, audits, and track asset performance metrics to facilitate continuous improvement. Qualifications: University degree in engineering, with membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ). Experience in reliability and asset management within heavy industries, with a solid understanding of global asset management methodologies. Proficiency in RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) and AMDEC (FMEA) methodologies, along with a strong foundation in various maintenance strategies. Fluent in French, with a preference for candidates who can submit their CVs in French. Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing teams and promoting best practices in reliability. Organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for all. Candidates must be available to work on-site daily in Sorel-Tracy, as remote work is not offered for this position. The role is targeted to start by the end of the year, with a preference for candidates who can join as soon as possible.
