Senior SRE (Hybrid - Contract to Permanent)

About the Role: As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) specializing in Data Protection, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the continuous operation, maintenance, and evolution of critical data protection assets. You will set and manage Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to ensure optimal service delivery, develop and maintain operational excellence programs, and identify tools and automations to enhance data protection operations. Additionally, you will ensure 24/7 support for data protection assets and collaborate with various teams to design highly available and efficient technology solutions. Responsibilities: Oversee the full lifecycle of data protection assets, ensuring their continuous operation and evolution. Establish and manage Service Level Objectives (SLOs) while monitoring error budgets. Develop processes, procedures, and schedules to maintain operational excellence. Contribute to architecture designs for efficient, high-availability solutions. Implement tools and automation for optimizing data protection services. Ensure 24/7 support for data protection assets and troubleshoot performance issues. Measure asset performance and resolve issues impacting service quality. Requirements: Strong experience managing high-availability (HA) technology assets and designing HA solutions. Solid knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS. Experience with security ceremonies, containerization, and microservices orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Proficiency in CI/CD and Agile methodologies. Familiarity with DevSecOps culture. Additional knowledge in one or more of the following is a plus: HashiCorp Vault Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services like Microsoft ADCS or AWS PCA JAMF, Entrust Hardware Security Modules (HSM) like Utimaco or NCipher General data protection Preferred Qualifications: Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex, large-scale IT systems. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, security, and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical fields, or equivalent practical experience. Fluency in both English and French.
