Job Title: Power BI Business Data Analyst Location: Remote in Greater Seattle Area Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Data Analyst with a broad focus on data analysis across various business areas to drive business decisions and enhance operational efficiency. This role requires leading data-driven projects, ensuring data accuracy, and transforming complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can manage client relationships, resolve issues proactively, and very importantly, lead a team of analysts and engineers. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee data analysis projects across various business areas to Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and data requirements. Generate Power BI queries to match and validate outcomes. Interpret data trends and provide strategic recommendations. Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards for senior management. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies. Analyze expected data inputs and outputs from AI models to ensure accurate interpretations. Lead and mentor a team of 5-6 Business Data Analysts and foster a data-driven team culture Drive team productivity, measured by the successful delivery of insights. Work closely with product team leads, Power BI engineers, and other data analysts. Manage client stakeholders and ensure delivery with minimal direction. Qualifications: 8-10 years of experience as a Business Data Analyst 2-4 years in a leadership role managing a team of engineers. Proficient in Power BI, SQL, DAX, Power Query. Data modeling and proficiency in Python/Pandas is a plus. Strong analytical skills, with experience in developing and implementing data models. Excellent communication skills for conveying data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics or Statistics. Experience analyzing data from AI models and generating actionable insights. Full professional proficiency in English, including native-level fluency. Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $115,000 – $135,000 CAD annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
