JOB TITLE: Community Engagement Officer JOB LOCATION: Cumbria TERMS: Permanent on a flexible part-time or full time basis. You may be required to work some evenings & weekends. Travel/vehicle package to be discussed. Are you based in Cumbria and passionate about your community, the surrounding areas and it's development? Your prime focus will be to drive engagement, make sure everyone knows about the roll out of Full Fibre Broadband in rural areas, stimulate demand in targeted areas in which the service is planned to be delivered. You will be responsible for working closely with local communities and raising awareness of HyperfastGB's Full Fibre Broadband Network. If successful, you will take part in local events, social meetings and attend agricultural shows when required to ensure a successful understanding of HyperfastGB's Full Fibre Network. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?* Be an Ambassador for Fibrus Wholesale and the HyperfastGB programme Promote the benefits of a Hyperfast full fibre broadband. Liaison with community leaders and groups on all aspects of the programme including facilitating and smoothing any barriers to the build. Stimulate demand, achieve target registrations of interest and take up within communities and direct customers to participating retail service providers. Make contact with local residents and businesses not included in the rollout and work with them to identify solutions through enabling infrastructure build, accessing community funding and alternative solutions. Arrange public meetings and represent HyperfastGB to communicate the benefits of the scheme as well as the project roll-out with regards to the physical build. Liaise with the Viberoptics delivery team and partners to feedback any concerns raised by residents and communicate any relevant local information. Work with other members of the team to manage enquiries as required. Assist the build team to expedite permissions, wayleaves and access to premises WHAT WILL YOU BRING?* Can work under pressure and to deadlines. Highly creative, with excellent attention to detail. Can establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels Tenacity to keep going until the job is done Confident in overcoming challenges and responding to concerns in a professional and timely manner. Experience dealing with customer and stakeholder enquires. Proficiency in use of MS Office Experience of working in a team environment Understanding of public infrastructure investment is desirable.
