As a Customer Insurance Specialist, you will be focused on providing excellent customer service whilst educating and helping customers navigate their insurance needs for both Home Insurance and Life Insurance. We are a team that prides ourselves on delivering first class customer service, putting Santander customers at the heart of everything we do by building relationships, engaging in quality conversations and identifying opportunities to help protect our customers all whilst adhering to our compliance and regulatory requirements, full training will be provided.
This is an exciting opportunity within our Insurance Direct Team based in Glasgow, a centre of excellence for the bank. The role offers a salary within a range of £23,036 to £27,101, in addition you would receive a £500 Flexible benefit and be included within a discretionary performance related bonus scheme. Salary will be dependent on experience and would be confirmed at offer should your application and interview be deemed successful.

What you'll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
- Experience of working in a servicing, customer-driven environment
- Microsoft office proficient
- Ability to adapt your communication style to a range of customers and their needs
- Active listening skills and the ability to act with empathy when required
- You will require the right to work in the UK (please see details below)
It would also be nice for you to have:
- Experience of working with insurance / banking products and services
- Excellent communication and listening skills both at a customer and internal level
- Experience of working with and supporting vulnerable customers
- Experience in verbatim script reading and the ability to take direction
What else you need to know:
This role is based in Glasgow. The working hours will be 35 contracted hours across Monday-Friday 8am to 6pm & Saturday 9am-4pm (1 in 3 Saturdays)
The initial training period is 3 weeks full time on site - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month.
