Job Title: Assembly Technician
Location: Fife – Hillend. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £27,000 commensurate with skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Assemble/process product in accordance with defined work instructions or detailed technical drawings.
- Repair/modify current and legacy products
- Use business systems to record product history/compliance
Your skills and experiences:
- Have a good understanding of an assembly discipline such as wiring, fitting, printed circuit board assembly
- Able to perform assembly/disassembly or modification tasks on electronic or mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems – encompassing new build, and repairs products
- Be formally qualified in appropriate Workmanship Standard e.g. ANSI J, IPC or similar, training will be provided

The Assembly team:
The BAE Systems facility at Hillend manufactures Electronic Sub-assemblies for a range of Defence applications for both internal and external customers. The Production Team are skilled in SMT, Hand Soldering and Mechanical Assembly processes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business where training will be provided.
