Sr. Accountant

Our Crown Corporation client seeks a Senior Financial Analyst for a three-month contract with the possibility of extension. In this role you will support Year-End activities. The Senior Financial Analyst's duties will include: · Ensuring financial data integrity and security in the general ledger and subledgers· Providing authoritative advice regarding Public Sector Accounting Practices.· Coordinating year-end closing activities across the organization including communication, accounting and reconciliation of ledgers,· Preparing payroll accounting and reconciliations· Preparing a wide variety of reports including statutory reports, Public Accounts reports, and payroll reports· Developing and improving tools for presentation and analysis.· Other duties as requires The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: · Post-secondary education in a relevant field· Five years' experience performing period-end closing activities· Working knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Standards· Experience with Great Plains Dynamics a strong asset· CPA designation or working towards a strong asset · Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English· Ability to obtain enhanced reliability statusRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
